Katelyn Watkins, PT, DPT

Biography

Katelyn Watkins is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Resident at Howard Head Sports Medicine. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Auburn University in 2022, followed by her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Samford University in 2025. Katelyn began her career in Auburn, Alabama, where she developed a strong foundation in orthopedic care. She is passionate about helping people return to their activities—whether that’s hiking, skiing, snowboarding or simply moving without pain. She has a special clinical interest in treating cervical spine conditions and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. Outside of the clinic, Katelyn enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband, David, and their dog, Mable. They enjoy their time outside hiking, eno-ing, rock climbing and snowboarding.
