Denise was born and raised in Portland, OR. She began rowing in high school, and continued during her undergrad education at Tufts University and the University of Oxford. After spending a few years balancing rowing coaching and a variety of secondary jobs she went to the University of Colorado for her DPT.  She loves her work in the acute care setting, and has a passion for partnering with patients who have oncology-related diagnoses. Outside of the hospital, Denise loves spending time with her husband and two Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. She enjoys travel and exploring the backcountry, as well as biking, yoga and weightlifting.
