Kevin Ives is a performance specialist for Howard Head Sports Medicine. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports Management from Grand Canyon University, as well as recently completed Master’s of Science in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University. Kevin holds certifications as a performance specialist, 200-hour certified yoga instructor, and sports nutrition specialist, allowing him to excel in his career working with athletes of all types. Prior to his career at Howard Head, Kevin served the veteran community with Wounded Warrior Project, helping wounded veterans re-establish healthy lifestyles through nutrition, wellness, and exercise education. His vast range of experience also includes working as a strength and conditioning coach for Mary Washington University athletics, training 16 varsity athletic teams, as well as training elite tactical athletes at Quantico Marine Base in Virginia. Kevin’s extensive background training athletes is a product of his own athletic career, in which he played both soccer and football collegiately and competed in bobsled with Team USA between 2011 and 2014. He also works closely with mentors in the athletic performance community and consistently builds his knowledge base through extended education, experience, and professional development with leaders in athletic performance. Kevin is currently a co-head coach for the Vail Mountain School boys soccer team, and enjoys cycling, hiking, snowboarding, and camping in his free time.
