Shannon es originaria de Colorado y creci\u00f3 en la zona de Front Range, cerca de Golden. De joven particip\u00f3 en muchos deportes de competici\u00f3n, como f\u00fatbol, gimnasia y nataci\u00f3n, y se enamor\u00f3 de la fisioterapia en la escuela secundaria. Luego se mud\u00f3 a Flagstaff, Arizona, y asisti\u00f3 a la Universidad del Norte de Arizona, donde complet\u00f3 su t\u00edtulo en Ciencias del Ejercicio y descubri\u00f3 una nueva pasi\u00f3n por el ultimate frisbee. Regres\u00f3 al \u00e1rea de Denver, donde obtuvo su Doctorado en Fisioterapia de la Universidad Regis, compaginando sus estudios con la direcci\u00f3n del equipo de nataci\u00f3n femenino de secundaria en Holy Family High School en Broomfield, CO. Shannon valora el cuidado de la persona en su totalidad, escucha activamente a sus pacientes y aborda sus inquietudes, integra intervenciones personalizadas para cada paciente, se hace responsable (junto con sus pacientes) de una recuperaci\u00f3n exitosa y hace que cada visita sea una experiencia divertida.
